AC/DC’s last show! Ever???

AC/DC’s Black Ice Tour finally came to an end on June 28, 2010 in Bilbao. After 168 concerts in 32 countries stretched from October 2008 till June 2010 this tour was attended by more than 5 million people. It was AC/DC’s most successfull tour ever!

Hardcore fans from all over the world travelled to the city of Bilbao in northern Spain. The Estadio San Mamés is located right in the city. With a capacity of 37.000 it is rather small compared to the other stadiums that AC/DC played at.The atmosphere was crisp, full of tension and a bit of sadness. Everyone in the stadium was expecting something special that night, a bonus feature for the hardcore fans. Thus, as soon as the show started the crowd was up to its feet and in awesome shape. The band made a good performance! Unfortunaltey, they did not change their setlist at all or gave some sort of special address to the fans. It was “business as usual”. Kind of dissappointing …

From a photographers point of view I had a pretty good place on the left side of the catwalk. My Canon G11 did a good job once more. However, high ISO at 800 does not really work with quite some post processing.

For those about to rock ...
